    • The server has a plan for the update. Most of that information is private and we are not telling.

    Keep in mind that when we update to 1.9, we will do it slowly enough for all of you to adjust to it. We don't slap it in your faces because we understand how a lot of you are going to hate re-learning PVP. We all agree that the PVP is better than ever, but only once you learn it and adjust to it.

    As @lizardfreak321 mentioned in a video, we should have a feature where for example, if a hacker goes on a server (tries), but that feature may help prevent cheating/hacking in Minecraft! Please feel free to reply to me for some additional feature for this prevention! WATCH THIS VIDEO!

    i think that 1.9 is going to be a more realistic minecraft only in the sense that it IS going to limit pvp and make us learn new things but it will also add a new aspect. you now have to THINK and FIGHT instead of just jitterclick. you have to think strategy. i think this is truly going to bring out the good pvp'ers out there. and just a suggestion; i dont know if you can do this but maybe make a seperate kit pvp server (like op pvp or pk pvp for example) where it is 1.8 fighting and not 1.9.

    1.9 PvP is bad,since players on ShadowXCraft play KitPvP and HG more than Creative,Survival or Prison,I think that the server will just go down-hill and be less popular...
    And yes, 2 KitPvP servers would be great.I would still stay on KitPvP 1.8.I don't have much info about 1.9 PvP but ONLY the cooldown after 1 hit makes me dislike it.

    I think 1.9 would add new strategies and aspects.. but I do think that the new enchants might be too op or useless (frostwalker is too op, mending is useless in KitPvP).

    As 321 said, WORST case scenario is having two servers, one for 1.8, and another for 1.9. That's WORST case scenario.
    I'm split on having two or one kitpvp server, since if we have two, everyone will hog the 1.8 one.

    Personally i don't get why people are worked up on the 1.9 pvp aspect.The time between clicks is to ensure hackers/cheaters get caught and stop trying to use hacks/cheats.Keep in mind that this is early development, in later version they may be upgrading/downgrading the time between clicks.Personally i like the 1.9 system as it DESTROYS people who gank/tpgank/pvpgank. There is now a cooldown where the player can react.No player farms will still work , such as fall traps.In fact fall traps may become more and more used in the end with the new mob.I think the server would be great in 1.9 thx to the enderdragon boss now becoming respawnable, mending enchat,and of course gliders

    I actually like 1.9 because bows will finally be a lot more effective also I like the no blockhitting but the enchants might be too op. I don't know if its better than 1.7 though.
