Hello everyone, This is a frequently asked question, and there are several reasons why this server is 1.8 only. 1.7 players have an advantage over 1.8 players. We believe everyone should have an equal chance in beating another player. We use a lot of 1.8 blocks, like barrier block. 1.8 blocks are so nice. The best way to make it compatible with 1.8 means 1.7 premium need to login as if they are cracked. That's just a pain to all staff because the login server only allows 1 account per cracked. We have alerted the dev but he hasn't responded. The alternative way to allow 1.7 requires redoing a lot of stuff because it literally means making the 1.8 servers 1.7. This way is less stable, is very buggy, including a LOT of duplication glitches. It also breaks every 1.8 feature. And for all of you that hate 1.9: It is possible to make 1.9 very much like 1.7 in some ways- Like combos and stuff. We will likely have that for the OP PVP and stuff. We will do our best to make 1.9 PVP far better than 1.7 PVP.
@lizardfreak321 To be honest,I don't think we should even give 1.9 a try based on it's hit process. Everyone likes 1.8 and 1.7 better and the only server that would actually improve shadow's experience is survival and creative. It's obvious that Mojang has came up with a solution to make minecraft what it was meant to be. Minecraft is a game designed for creative and survival and people have turned it into a PvP community that has became very competitive. No one realized block-hitting until 1.7.That's when mojang obviously knew something was up so they tried nerfing it in 1.8 but it surprisingly still works(for some people that didn't know).1.8 was bad enough for players because of hit registration.Bringing 1.9 to KitPVP/HG will most likely ruin our community as a whole,because majority of the players that has joined shadow knows how 1.9 feels like(No block-hits at all - Hit registration is even worse).I'm not demanding that we should keep it 1.8 but I highly recommend that Shadow should at least be 1.8 for KitPVP/HG.(Just a suggestion). Yeah....you're right about making 1.9 better than 1.7/1.8,but 1.9 doesn't have the same feel as 1.7 and 1.8.Till this day,several players complain to me and ask me why HG or KitPVP are not in 1.7.I personally don't have an issue with 1.9,it's just that it's really not good for PvP and I'm sure everyone knows that.When 1.9 is released,Mojang will officially have what they wanted in the first place....A simple survival/creative game with story.
To be honest, Im just going to hold my decision to see what 1.9 is like (If I have time..). I won't make judgments to early. For 1.8 vs 1.7, I say 1.8 because the server adapted to it more and it makes it fair, especially to people pro 1.8 who use it. ~Thank you for reading~
Could you maybe impliment a plugin that reduces the hit delay entirely? 1.9 Brings a whole bunch of new problems, such as the spectral arrows, which highlights every entities of the type you hit- even players. You may not be able to find hackers with tracers if you use the spectral arrows.. But on the other hand, the new shields and all are interesting too. Just a note: Diamond Axes do more damage than Diamond Swords now. I would look forward to 1.9, as it brings a whole new aspect of pvp. As I know from the news, we're having a 1.8 server, as well as a 1.9 KitPvP and HG server. I think some people (like me) can adapt to a new way of fighting and tactics in pvp. I'm sure some people in the internet may find new ways and new tips to pvp, just like blockhitting, etc.
I say we try 1.9 pvp for a while, and if it fails, then switch back to 1.8. I think it would be cool to add a new aspect to kit. Also, for those of you who are complaining about the diamond axes doing more damage, remember that they can't hit as fast either. The hit regristration may be a problem tho
Look guys I would suggest that the idea of lizardfreak is awesome cuz in 1.9 the ones who use kill aura can never kill anyone hers the trick- In 1.9 if we miss a shot it takes us a while to hold the weapon like two seconds but till that time other non hackers can easily kill them!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only good thing about 1.9 that I know of... is that hackers will have to do a lot of combat reprogramming, since if they use their current autoclick... they'd become ez targets, lolol... the only bad thing is if they force bypass the delay for the full force hits... they'd get a higher advantage than they already do... :/
1.9 brings ruined pvp when you hit you need to wait if this gets added this will make alot of players leave the server soooooo i dont really want 1.9 in the game.
Lol 20 hits per second. 10 clicks per second would register 10 hits per second. Jitterclickers would be OP
But then again, It would be a cool new aspect of pvp and will enhance the clicking skills of SXC players. I personally click around 10-13 cps.
This video was pretty cool because it allows for extremely custom kits. I would love to have this implemented in the new 1.9 pvp. Of course, this means it would be harder to make each kit. But I think all of us would rather have a few good, well balanced kits then a bunch of just leather kits with a knockback wep, a fire wep, and a sharp wep.
I agree with xNoobGamingx tbh i get like 10-12 something like that and jitter clicking would be toooo OP with the gaming mouses for example The death adder.. and the naga what i have ty!
