Shadowxcraft Kit Pvp Tournament (v2.3)

Kit PvP Tournament ​

• It will be actually 10 tournaments leading up to a final tournament with the winners of each mini tournament facing off.
• This tournament/ these tournaments will be starting the week of May 2nd. Every week after that will also be the other tournaments.
• Participants will be able to enter APRIL 27TH
• There will be 10 tournaments in total, and each will be done in each arena. This tournament will consist of 1v1's, best of 5.
• The battles will only count if I am there to see the match.
• The week of May 2nd, if you have not yet done your match, you still have until that week ends. If you do NOT do your match, both you and your opponent are disqualified.
• If you have any questions, please ask them below because how I typed this out seems confusing.
• I will keep updating this thread constantly with the winners of each tournament, rules, brackets, etc.
• This thread is in beta and in the works, so if something is not there, please suggest something.
• Finally, I am going to put up a poll. The poll will be about if the participants must use any kit or a specific kit that everyone should use for the different tournaments.

Uhm... Everybody should have kit "Basic" and I think they can use that. It is the most balanced Kit I guess.. :/

 

Well I don't want everyone just to use that plain kit. It would be kinda fun to have all these different kits, but if the participants don't have access to the certain kit chosen, I'll just have kit basic. Thanks for the suggestion though.

What if some people don't have the kit that has been selected for a tournament?

 

EDIT: I've just seen the poll results so far. I'm going to point out the pro's and con's for future people who are going to vote. Also, today I am going to update this thread more with rules and more clarifications if anyone has anymore questions.

Any Kit:
PROS: You can see a diverse amount of kits used.
CONS: Someone new might be joining and they might not be as high of a rank as you.

Specific Kit:
PROS: Its balanced out, you just have to practice using that kit and everyone gets to try out a new kit if you haven't used the one chosen.
CONS: Someone may not have that kit.

Finally, I forgot to point this out, No invis kits are going to be allowed as well as the kits with instant damage pots and no poison potions. Also, no donor kits

 

If I do that, the question would be.. should rods be allowed? Some people don't like rods or just aren't good at using them.

 

Well the other few who are good at rods will probrobly be really mad because thats the main aspect that made the basic kit good.

 

When the match starts for 2 participants, I'll ask if they want rods. If one says they can't rod/ they don't want to use rods, there'll be no rods. So participants now have to practice with and without rods.

 

So, here's how its going to work. I'm going to have an example.

Lets say that Bob, Charlie, Simon, and Jason all participate (random names).
I would go on a website to set up the brackets called Challonge I believe. Its a tournament website. I would shuffle the names and do the brackets normally for each tournament.
Lets for the first tournament Bob is against Simon, Bob wins. Jason vs Charlie, Charlie wins. Bob vs Charlie, Bob wins. Bob is the winner of that first tournament. There'll be a few other tournaments after that. If you win a mini tournament then you can't enter the others. You'll automatically be in the final tournament.
To put it more into perspective:
10 Mini Tournaments
and 1 Giant one with the winners of each mini tournament facing off.

Update #1
Tonight I'm going to work on some ideas that'll possibly make the tournament better than it is right now. I'm thinking of more ways to possibly balance kits used and how people will fight. Tonight, I'm going to get off my butt and actually update this thread. Remember 7 more days and you can enter. If anyone still needs any clarifications on anything, please don't be shy to ask. If you'd like to be a judge in this tournament, or a staff would like to help out, please message me privately on the forums. I will have a certain form this night for judges and a form for participants when its time to join the tournament. I was thinking about having people 10+ in rank only being able to join, but that'd be a bit rude because not everyone has a high of a rank. This tournament I want people to display skill and resourcefulness and I don't want your rank level/rank title to mean something because usually people judge you on your rank, but it's truly what you do in a situation that determines your pvp skills. Remember this is also for fun, and I don't really know any prizes if there should be. Prizes would just make the tournament be a burden for people who want it. I'm hoping to continue updating this thread and making you guys have a great experience in this tournament. Have an awesome day!
