    Hello everyone,

    I know few of you enjoy playing 1.9+ PVP, so we will be making a version for 1.8, with hopefully 1.7 compatibility.

    This version will not be for 1.9+, so the current 3.0 kits won't work. If you all want we can import the best kits from KitPVP version 2.4.
    Let us know what you want and don't want in this update, I want to make a version that requires little or no adjusting and is thought of as better than version 2.4 by most, if not all, of you.

    I really enjoy the Op pvp in kit 2.4. The only problem I have with it is it has a timer of only 1 minute when I try and 1v1 a player. Maybe having the timer set to 10 minutes or less? I know most of the 1.7-1.8 play. Build uhc so why not add a 1.7-1.8 Build uhc :D

    We will be using the same plugin that we use in KitPVP version 3, just updated to cause no errors on 1.8. In KitPVP version 3 at the moment, there is no time limit in the battles.

    Well then make sure you aren't hanging a 100 pound weight over your keyboard! Seriously both the shift key and double tapping "W" do not break your finger, nor does it tire it out too much.

    YEAH!

    In my opinion,I find that this will be a pretty decent addition to Shadow because KitPVP is basically what encourages players to join shadow till this day(Based off of when I previously joined). 100% Positive that this will lure several players to shadow(even me) :) .1.9 is alright but not quite the thing for pvpers. 1.8 is decent,but as for 1.7.. I feel that it will allow Shadow to gain MUCH more attention than before and possibly recruit more donors. Whenever you add 1.7,I suggest that you should add Build UHC to make pvping more interesting for everyone. Hopefully everything turns out as expected.     Thanks, I will be using the PVPv3 plugin we spent so much time on, it has BuildUHC. Are there any things you don't like about our custom plugin or is 1.9 the only reason you dislike it?

    Lack of rods would be the only thing about 1.9 KitPVP, for some people.

    I think one of the reasons people don't like the 1.9 pvp is because there is only one ffa arena and some people want some kind of 'party' with people using a certain kit to make it fair for everyone. So i suggest adding more arenas (maybe even soem arenas from kitpvp 2.4) but also make sure that you don't add too many because people are going to either not be playing certain arenas or people will just be scattered everywhere.

    Liz , i freaking love you, I dont want i NEED this update lol, im really happy , if you could the best kits would be BlasterBlade and Hasty Warrior in my opinion :) :) :) :) :D :D :D :D

    I don't really care about roding because it's pvp not Im gonna hook you in like a fish then kill you. The 1 problem I had with 1.9 was the hit registration

    Great idea to make a 1.7 kitpvp hopefully by this action the player count will go higher! But i can't wait for the blockhits xD

    I am glad all of you are supportive of this update!

    The thing about this is it will be using the same PVP system as KitPVP version 3.0! Please join KitPVP Version 3.0 with your friends and with Minecraft 1.10, even if you hate 1.10, and the reason for that is because that will allow you to post suggestions here: https://www.shadowxcraft.net/threads/kitpvp-version-3-0-suggestions.2505/page-6
    The more suggestions the better it will be!

    Okay I have been doing testing and I can conclude that it is impractical to use a 1.7.10 server to run it, instead we will need to use a 1.8.8 server with 1.7 compatibility. It shouldn't be a large problem since most changes to PVP are client-side, not server-side.

    There are several reasons we cannot use actual 1.7:
    - The kit API used breaks in 1.7.
    - Spectator gamemode doesn't exist, which would require a lot of re-coding of the spectator function in our custom plugin.
    - Our server-side recording plugin uses an API for playback that completely breaks in 1.7. That same API will be used for an amazing feature I have planned for KitPVP.
    -Permissions plugin breaks.

    On the other hand all of the things work perfectly in 1.8.8 after I made it handle the missing AttackSpeed attribute!

    I don't really mind what version of PvP we use, PvP is just another side-aspect to me. I still think this will be a good idea for all the other PvPers who enjoy 1.7/8. There is a very competitive side of PvP and catering to both the casual and competitive players will be hard yet incredibly rewarding if we pull it off correctly.

    It will be KitPVP version 3.1. I am making a 1.7-1.8 version as well as a 1.9+ version.
    It will be better than the current PVP, including some nice features like AI ;)
