Updates on Towny: "Shadow Realms"

Good Day to Everyone!

I have been working for days straight just to bring you this sub-server! Our plan is to combine the communities of both Factions & Survival, bringing you "Shadow Realms: A towny-based RPG". Details about the OPEN BETA TESTING period will be released on the coming days. We will have 2-3 days of BETA testing to see if there will be difficulties/bugs/exploits that you may find. A towny reset is likely after the BETA period.

The server will follow a Central Government System, wherein the community (you, the players) may propose and submit laws for everyone to follow. The staff team will still regulate the laws (for final approval) to make sure everyone has a fair, immersive experience while playing on the sub-server. Mayorship will not be for everyone, we will release the MAYOR APPLICATION FORM in the coming days.
This is to preserve the RPG-feel of towny, prevent solo-player towns, and increase community engagement. More information about this will be posted soon.

Please regularly check this post, since we may still add more to this announcement. Keep yourselves updated!

So far, the server is honestly looking good, just hoping that nothing breaks on release (which is why BETA is needed). We have a lot of new, customized things (ALL Features will be released soon), a hint for a thing or two is down below!

UPDATE: ETA FOR TOWNY BETA RELEASE IS EARLY AUGUST

More information will be coming soon, the /hub portals have been updated and now includes the TOWNY portal, and some basic information about it!

Hello, there is hidden progress (i.e. bugfixing etc) but one of the major factors in the latest update so far is the switch of economies from Bag of Gold to Essentials Economy. Hop on the server to see it's current effect. We are also waiting on the 1.13 Server version and plugins to be stable enough so we can have a 1.13 based towny server.

 

I have observed this too. We are going to complete Prison then pay to advertise the server. That should get our player counts back up. In the meantime, I hope you stay, @Pilgrims5.
And if you have any ideas for why it's low, I am very open to feedback.

 

Well there's stuff we have in store. Comparatively SXC is a skeleton of what it once was. Look at it as building again from the ground up. Or. Renovations. In 2015, Minecraft as a whole took a hit for several reasons we won't go into here (and besides you probably can guess them), and combined with dramatic issues with some staff at the time, SXC absorbed a bunch of that hit. But as a core, we're still here. We'll still be here.

 

I got the hub up, so I just need to repeat that for the other servers and script it to automate it.

Edit: I hit a road-block that makes it impossible for me to get it started. I tried. I am up way past my bed time. I will resume in the morning.
