This is simple just post below what you think of 1.9, like why do you think it would ruin game modes or even how it could help us improve parts of the server.
Improve: new arrows + shields = new and better kits in kitpvp Disaprove: some plugins might not work with it
Well, kitpvp will have to be completely rebalanced due to the shields, arrow types, new potion effects, and other things. However, that allows for more diverse and fun kits.
We are only keeping the 1.8 kitpvp until the 1.9 kitpvp is ballanced. In my opinion this is a good update to PVP. It makes performance based on timing, rather than host fast you can click a mouse, or switch inventory items. In terms of performance, I think this will help the server. The main reason: Particles. Particles were entities until 1.9 came. Particles used so much bandwidth we don't have any particle things. I found this particle lazer plugin. We made a nice cool lazer. I checked the bandwidth usage for JUST me. HALF OF THE SERVER'S BANDWIDTH. Like...The server is supposed to hold 200 players, not 2. This update should allow us to have particle things. KitPVP will be a challenge to balance! We will have two KitPVPs (One 1.8 one 1.9) open until it is fully balanced. You guys have got to accept change! Back when they slowed down the bow, all of you hated it. Now most of you love it. I support Mojang, so I will stay on the newest version of minecraft. We will make sure KitPVP version 3.0 for 1.9 is very fun!!
Will this server become 1.9 only like you did to 1.8 or can ppl with 1.8 and dont want to update stay??
Minecraft 1.9 pvp.... where to start. in my opinon i dont really like the new pvp style. yes it adds sheilds potions and new arrows and other things but, the weapon cool down is what annoys me. Now in minecraft pvp you have to be tactical which i dont like because me myself i prefur rushing in and catching my opponent off guard but we never know until 1.9 comes to the server. i probably will try it out and if i dont like it im staying to 1.8 pvp.
1.9 is a good update because it encourages tactical play. In the past, we all bum rushed people in attempts to kill them. Now, we will have to be smarter in how we deal with fighting people because of sword cooldowns and shields. We now have possibilities for counterattacks and other maneuvers we could never have imagined in 1.8/1.7
