Goodbye, Shadowxcraft

Yes, I quit, I'm leaving this server. Thank you for all the memories and great experiences I've had in this server. Here are some of the reasons why I'm quitting;

First of all, the old people are gone. I've been in this server for over a year, and this is just the 2nd anniversary of ShadowXCraft. Only a few are still there, iBloodMC, Paola, Poorna, FlameFinix, and the others who remain unnoticed.

Also, the good staff are gone, only a few are there. I know that the staff are doing their best on keeping the community alive, but somehow I can't see that. Some of the staff were my close friends, but then they changed paths and suddenly made me feel like we're useless non-staff people, they forgot our memories. This was also experienced by most of us, who were friends with some of the staff. Here's an example; I've been thinking about quitting and I asked a staff member (not mentioning the name) about it, and she just said "K", we were close friends before and now its gone.

Daggerdevil, Laslu, and some staff members are gone too. The server has lost its old players, it lost its great people who have been with the server for so long.

I've had a great experience with the ShadowXCraft community, this will be a goodbye though. Goodluck on the coming years, hopefully the server will grow more. I may come back very very very very very very very soon, or maybe never, Thank you and Goodbye!

I agree as well in many ways, the old player structure is collapsing, while a new one is rising, but to those who are friend with people on the previous structure doesn't find it as fun anymore, same apply for some of the plugins and restrictions, some people liked the old stuff and old perms better than the new ones... While some of us are just moving on... I can tell I am not going to be on for that much longer myself. We will all take our own paths.

 

Good luck kurt in however you want to proceed in your life! It will be sad to see another fellow member go.

From my point of view, this server has only started entering its golden age. We're having more and more new people joining and all the old members and those who joined in 2014 building up a friendly, helpful community. We, as the experienced players of ShadowXCraft, are all co-operating- to welcome new members. To raise motivation. To get everyone involved. To make new friends. To banter about, laugh about and be sad together about. This is just the start of SXC's golden age; help us build a non-toxic community (as I have seen on other networks)!

 

For hello21, he has moved on. He has lost a lot of the interest in the server. He hates how much attention he gets. Lasu is too busy with school to ever be on. People grow up.

The new playerbase is a premium one. There are advantages and disadvantages of that. One of the advantages of it, is more players know how to play minecraft. When we were 95% cracked, half of the players that joined never played on another server, so they had no clue how to play.

If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the playerbase, just tag me in this thread.
