New Pixelmon Sub-server

    With all the new hype over Pokemon I think it would be cool to have a pixelmon server that was like the original games, where everyone would start in a village and everyone would have to travel from village to village ranking up their pokemon so they can beat the gym and get badges. Economy can be based around shops, etc.

    Interesting idea. The problem would be to convince 321 to do it since he has never had much of a liking to mods other than Optifine.

    Pixelmon in Shadow 0_0. I will literaly stay up all night leveling up my pokemon if this happens. :D. I just gotta catch em all.

    We tried this once. It was very annoying to try and implement. Maybe its better now with new versions? Anyway- I wouldn't be completely opposed to this.

    The only reason i suggest it now is because almst everyone is obsessed with pokemon after pokemon go came out so ppl might be inclined to come on the server more often if there was pixelmon. Plus we can make it unique to sxc by having it be like a huge multiplayer adventure map.

    I'm not obsessed because poor me ain't have data and his android phone is too old for Pokemon Go.
    Nonetheless, pixelmon would be awesome but won't it be super laggy?

    There are some complications..

    Pixelmon is not meant to work with Spigot/Bukkit, it requires forge.
    The latest version of any implementation of both APIs is for 1.7.10, which is a little too old, especially considering they are working on a 1.10 version already.
    If I were to not use Spigot/Bukkit, there will be issues. Our chat plugin and our permissions synchronizer plugins are both Spigot/Bukkit-only. Without them there will not be a seamless transition between the servers like there is now.

    Nah. It would. A server were u ain't have to download mods to play the game is good.(If the plugin is possible)Less hassle would attract players in and it might make people already on the server happier.(ME!)

    Seems like a great idea, hard to think of this coming true...

    EDIT: Just incase it does, on my 1st plot I have a Pokémon Center from the games Black/White/Black2/White2/ and I'm working on one from Platinum/Pearl/Diamond/.
