I personally think there should be a sort of democracy. This let's all the players decide if people can be staff or not. So it is not rigged the staff can check if they pass all the requirements and are actually fair and reasonable. So basically staff choose people who have passed the requirements of staff and players choose if he can and there is a vote of yes,no and maybe. If maybe is the highest section in votes then the staff decide like how it is now. I understand most of the flaws of this being added and there is too many to list, so just put them in the comments/replies.
The issue with that is that it will just make the "Popular" players staff, which is not a good thing most of the time. There are a few groups of popular players, but at least one of them is full of troublemakers..
You choose people who are responsible and can be trusted and then staff can choose 50-30 people to decide yes or no if they do not vote their vote will be abstain and will be given to someone else . (Yeah I know this sounds hard to make sure only them 50-30 people vote maybe make a private chat with them) NOTE: Only the owner is allowed in automatically then the rest are chosen.
Still wouldn't work, people would argue too much about certain people they want to become staff, and cause even more drama. Anyway, it's already KIND of like a democracy amongst the staff, as they all vote if applications can be accepted.. I think.
So if we are going to get democracy.. We have "suggestions" for a reason.. To hear the people out. And look at the votes.. Most people have said no already...
communism=no leader socialism=failed attempts at communism (ideals) did noone have to read the manifesto for their english class?
If it was a perfect world, communism/socialism would be just fine.. good even. But the fact is, we don't live in a perfect world so...
