Hey everyone! As some of you know, writing reports can be beneficial to the server but sometimes they are to bland to be actual reports whether they lack proof or they're hard to read so I'm writing this so that if you want to write one, you'll know what to put. A report basically consists of a few things:
Who your reporting?, Why your reporting them?, What proof do you have? Where did they break the rules?
    When did they do it?

I'll be talking about why you need the mentioned topics.
-You need to know who your reporting because if you don't know "who specifically" or "who in a group", you are pretty much reporting no one. If someone has griefed you for example, you already have a possibility of who. You can check who is added and mention everyone.
-Needing to know why you're reporting them is extremely crucial. Reporting someone for moving when you told them not to isn't breaking a rule. Make sure you check and review the rules to know which rules they broke.
-Proof, proof, proof. Proof is the legitimate proof you have of them breaking it. If you don't have proof, then people assume they didn't break a rule. Make sure your proof clearly shows what they did wrong and also make sure it is valid. Sometimes, people just add screenshots that have nothing to do with the report. Keep it clean, clear and consistent. If you are reporting someone for more than one thing, try to keep your proof grouped up. Don't do things like add a screenshot of bypassing filter then hacking, and then back to bypassing. As mentioned; clean, clear and consistent. *Important* If you found a staff member guilty of breaking a rule, email [email protected]. Don't put it in a comment on an appeal or somewhere else. It gets annoying.
Also, it gets really annoying where you start a fight just to get them mad and report you. I have seen some people get other players mad so they can just report them because they don't like them. These types of reports are unwanted since they just are argumentative revenge attempts.
-Where they break the rules is not always necessary but sometimes it is. For example, Factions is the only sub-server where scamming and griefing is allowed. Think if they broke a rule where they weren't supposed to.
-When a player has broken the rules is actually pretty important, you can be submitting a report of a player when they are already punished. These are usually marked as "Evidence". They may not be reports but they are important as they help a previous reporter strengthen his report on the same player.

    Some tips on reports:
~Make sure your report is neat and tidy, proper to read, and also consistent as best you can. Having bad grammar or joking about it like saying "o me gerd thT dud3 ju$t w3nt thu al of us" for example can be treated as a joke from players. Yes, some players may not know English but anyone can not use numbers to represent letters. If your language has different language characters, there are some great online translators that are free and work well to give you a sentence with proper structure and grammar formats.

~Make sure your report gives the least opportunities to start arguments. Having arguments on your report that are unnecessary can lead to your report being locked. Arguments are always bound to occur so you can prevent them by calming people down or finding a "middle" to both their beliefs. Pretty much just negotiate on behalf of both sides.

~If you're not sure whether a player is breaking the rules or not, review the rules as well as the Terms and Conditions to see if it's a "positive" thing to report them. If you are still confused, I believe that the staff are open to any players with questions since they are trustworthy and sincere.

Thanks for reading "How to Write a Proper Report". Now that you know how to write a proper report, hopefully you can write one.

The report now is much easier and separated, it already gave instructions on what to do on each box.

Yes, the template. My post here are things that you can use to not only follow the template, but make your report more "extraordinary".
