Should There Be An Age Limit To Staff?

When I say Should there be an age limit to staff i mean a minimum age (Thx jack)
Now at every application that the applicant is younger than lets say 14 people say either "Apply when you are 13-14" or "I think you won't be accepted because you are to young". And honestly it is annoying and sickening because staff has said multiple times There is no Age limit!. Not to mention @X1X_ is 12 and he is a staff member! Now this suggestion was not made so that rule can change (And if it does, good for you people that think you should judge someone by there age, You know who you are). It is basically made so we can see how many people in the community think they can judge a book by it's cover or in this case Judge a book by it's age (Sorry for the horrible pun ).

I dont think there should be a minimum age. It will help us be more flexible to pick good members who may be mature yet not old.

 

Age limits are barriers. Some people who are teens/adults aren't even mature enough yet : however, people like X1X_ is only 12 and proves himself to be mature.

 

Well as I thought! the majority took no age limit. So I hope everyone will stop the whole you are a bit to young nonsense!

 

But age sometimes does effect you being staff or not. Imagine two people made a staff application, one of them is an 11-year old and the other one is a 17-year old. Thet both have been on the server for averagely the samr time, both of them have a clean ban, mute, warning and kicks history but most important of all they both are really mature and have helped the server in many ways. So let's get back to what they both were doing. They both made a staff application, putting a lot of effort and enthusiasm in it. But the community only needs 1 more staff. Would you choose the 11-year old or the 17-year old? If you asked me that i would pick the 17-year old as they are older and have experienced more things in life than the other person so they should be a better person because of their age. But then again you cannot say younger people are immature because for example someone that is young can be more creative and mature than a person who is 17-year old but always thinks negatively and "over criticises" people.

 

I would be good with any age , but as long as there Mature .

 

You make a good point but the chances of that happening is 4/10 but in that scenario you are correct. You make a valid case!

Also I am happy that there are the smart people that chose maturity over age!

 

Roughly 75% of people chose maturity over age I think that proves my point....

 

one thing, i was helper as jwow, then i went to liz321 and asked if i could be helper again and he said when youre 15... im practically 13 now and it says you "have to be 13-above to be staff." I DONT GET IT.

and plus, ive been on the server long enough to know HOW to be a helper.

Yeah guys do know in some servers the "age requirement" is like a final test. Not in a case of "Ohh they are 10 lets not make them staff" but more of a "How do they react with being denied staff". I mean if you can't handle not being staff how are you going to handle a player insulting you, the server, your friend, or any other nonsense the internet has to offer?
