Imperial Star Destroyer Updates

Hey guys, rJay here.

As this project went from being on paper to being on the computer 2 years ago, I never thought I'd be able to secure the space on a populated server. When I was able to here, I was very excited to begin this project. It's a very large scale project, as I'm planning a completely finished interior. The ship will be 1:1 to scale. The only issue is I've been having to scramble to redesign the 2 year old designs because the ISDs in Star Wars were 495 meters tall at the rear. Minecraft only will allow me 255 meters, of which I will be using every meter. So I'm building a new class of ISD that's a bit more streamlined, but still as wide and long.

Demensions are 1800x800x255, located at plot -7;50 (I think) or just type in "/plot visit rJayT2 2" while in creative.

As the project comes along, I should be posting updates and screenshots to this thread. The ETC will be 2 years from this date, if I build to schedule, though with my increase in work hours in real life, this may not be possible. Regardless, it's a fun project and I will enjoy seeing it come together. Good day,

If you need a larger plot or a large undeveloped area, please contact me. This sounds like a really cool project and I cant wait to see the finished product.

I already contacted Liz123 and he was kind enough to donate 160 100x100 plots to the cause. Thanks for the offer, though. The only thing I could use is more height, but that's obviously not doable in 1.8.x.

Okay, so a bit of a bump and a bit of an update:

With events that occurred directly after the start of this project, it got derailed. Progress has been minimal. I was promoted to staff and was then quickly promoted to higher ranks so that when I did have time for the server outside of my real life job, it was time only for Administrative duties within the server, not building a gigantic space ship.

In addition to the set-back of being upper staff, due to a Creative server update, I recently discovered my ship's massive 2000 x 900 block plot was corrupted, further setting back progress.

I'd like to thank people who've contributed thus far, and of course as always, 321 for providing the plots, and I do hope to continue this when possible.

 

While I'm at it, I might as well build the whole galaxy.
