New Hg Map - "the Nether"

    Name of the map:
    The Nether

    Almost all of the screenshots I took are in the attachments. I had 12 but it would only accept 10. If you want to see one that isn't there look at my video towards the end. All of the screenshots are there.


    Theme and Description of your map:
    Our theme for this map was the nether. at first we were like lets make it have something to do with ninjas and one thing led to another and we are left off with this. This map is honestly a mosh-pit of awesome stuff with the theme of the nether in mind. Players will have to strategically try to find chests in hidden locations, avoid the plethora of traps >: D and try not to fall off of a cliff or burn in lava. What we had in mind was an experience where you not only face the risk of getting killed by other players, you now get faced with the risk of getting killed by the map. We also wanted people to earn their loot, not take it easily. We put chests in strategic, but hard to get locations where players will for sure fight to get the better loot. This is not your ordinary SG map. This is "The Nether".

    Coordinates for build(coordinates also for the spawn deathmatch if sg map):
    Coordinates are - -46,-34 in creative (nicks plot) . The Deathmatch arena is the Dojo. (just put invis blocks in the doorway and it should be fine.)

    My build team accept all the terms.

    Could you make it less flat and/or more content in the flat parts? Also more of an exterior border may be good.

    Ask one of my builders, @Hibernating for help with making it less flat
    He loves doing terrain, and has VERY high standards for building (my map was a 4/10 by hiber untill he "fixed" it lol)

    Okay here is an update on the map.

    We added more terrain as suggested and removed the majority of the beacons to reduce lag.

    You said "these lava pool things" take those away, take away nether portals and add more chest to the flat ground :) nice work!

    i mean the problem is since it IS a nether map we do need some lava here and there. if we take away the pillars at spawn then the spawn looks too plain

    In that case remove those then add more terrain near spawn :)

    i dont know. too much terrain near spawn may be unfair to some players. maybe they want to run straight from spawn without going to center. they turn around and see a huge hill they now have to climb to get away. i dunno but it seems like a flat spawn is the best thing
