New Hg Map - "the Nether"

    As stated previously by my Head Builder, the map is based on the Nether. I understand your point of view where the map seems to be a confusing mix between nature and industrialization but if you take the time to further analyze the map you would see that the all structures (while may not be found in the Netherworld) all have an essential role in the map. In my opinion they all play well with the theme and do an overall good job of enhancing the map.

    Nonetheless all of your suggestions will be taken into consideration and may be implemented into the map where my head builder and I find it to be fitting.

    However for us to better implement some of your suggestions, it would be helpful of you went into better detail, as the suggestions you made are rather vague.

    Thanks for the advice but no thanks. I think considering we have 7 yes's and 1 no for my map we are doing something correct.:p . You are not my teacher and i am not your student. We are simply acquaintances. Considering the most popular map in this server is Multi-Biome i think i have a good chance of this map getting accepted. I can probably make Multi biome- in under an hour. And btw take a look around yourself when youre outside next time. Nature and "Industrialized" buildings are always in a location. where there are buildings there are trees, and hills, and rivers and whatever. you obviously haven't seen the outside world to know what you are talking about when you say that Nature and industrialized buildings do not go together.

    Also please do not mention other people's maps unless you have something good to say about them as it is very rude to insult someone's work.
    Christa has worked very hard on her map and it is unfair to her for you to come into this thread and insult her work. Please do not do it.
    I have been very lenient and ignored all of you negative comments and instead tried to channel them into something positive. However other's may not be as patient as I have been when you tell them their map is a 4.5ish/10.

    Again thank you but please try to be more considerate to the ones who are trying to make a positive effect on this community

    This map is nice but still needs a few touchups. Would you like for me too help you with somethings? I would like to do it while you are online so you can learn a thing or two.

    Hibernating did have some good points. But I will instead actual help you learn from this.

    ok we get that but pushing yourself to the limits and being rude and disrespecting someone and something they workedon for a very long time are two different things. You only give us negative feedback. instead of saying you could add this or remove that or make this look better you say its not good enough. and please dont act cocky and like you rule over everyone else.

    Okay, so here is Update no. 2 of the Map.
    This has probably been the biggest update so far. (This is also only the second update XD XD XD.... Anyway)




    So whats new?
    We added:
    • A border and roof to the map.
    • Two bases (and a backstory which will explain the bases and the map on a whole i guess)
    • Statues to the pillars at spawn
    • Roads to join the structures.
    • A bit more terrain
    • A lot more lava
    • Glowstone to light up the map
    As mentioned before, we created a backstory for our map but we have decided to withhold it until the map is official released.

    Thank you's go out to :
    • Lizardfreak321 : for helping with the roof and borders.
    • MeromeTMD : for helping with the borders.

    • Hibernating : for suggestions. We tried our best to implement them (I don't think we were very successful but thank you very much all the same)
    • BlasterBlade : for suggestions. They were very helpful and we were able to implement quite a few.
    • Alstarpig : for suggestions. Sorry we decided to keep the pillars but we added statues to them. Hope that is okay. Also all the beacons were removed so that should decrease lag.

    Thank you everyone for all your help and suggestions.

    (Suggestions are still welcomed so please feel free to continue to share any ideas that you may think may improve our map... Thank you)

    I agree with you. I think the roads look a bit too refined.
    Do you think maybe using a mix-mash of different blocks would make it match the nether theme better?
