I just want people's insights on this, and if this is going to affect the server. https://mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-server-monetisation/ Personally, I think there are pros and cons, but most server owners disagree with this new update of the EULA (Minecraft End User License Agreement), just because they earn stacks of money, for people "paying to win" on their servers.
That happened ages ago. Not even mineplex follows it. If they don't, we don't. Also it cuts donations in half..
Apparently, Mojang have enforced the EULA recently.. They don't want servers to be "pay to win", but "pay to play". Apparently, it's an option for server owners whether they want people to pay to play on their server, or to have free membership inside their server.
