My favourite: Rock salt in water :P.

You can turn rock salt into normal eating salt by doing the following:

Tip rock salt into a mortar and grind with the pestle.
Tip grinded remains onto a beaker filled with water. The salt will be dissolving, leaving the rock and sand behind.
Fold a piece of filter paper into quarters and hold 3 "flaps" on one side, making a funnel.

Put made filter inside a funnel, place funnel in an empty beaker and pour the solution into the funnel. Only the salt water will filter into the beaker, leaving the rock and sand behind.
After waiting 5 - 10 minutes, remove the funnel and pour the clean salt water into an evaporating dish.

Carefully position the dish under a tripod and gauze, which should also be under a heat proof mat. Place a bunsen burner under the tripod and switch on.
Occasionally drag the bunsen burner from under the tripod and place in again. This prevents spitting of the boiling water.
After 15 minutes or so, the water will all have evaporated, leaving the salt, clean, behind.

An experiment I learnt a long time ago :P
